Live music, gorgeous cabanas, a private beach and Jacuzzis are all available. Entry from Dhs100. Open Sat-Wed 10am-1am, Thu-Fri 10am-3am. Caesars Palace, Bluewaters island (050 454 6920).
Blue Marlin Ibiza UAE
A perennially popular waterfront club that’s always heaving with young expats. Hailing from the White Isle, it’s one of the swankiest, most happening places on the weekend, heaving with partygoers who love the heavy beat (and some sand) beneath their feet. Free entry. Open Fri 1pm-11pm; Sat 1pm-9pm. Golden Tulip Al Jazira Hotel and Resort, Ghantoot (056 1133 400).
This swanky and utterly beautiful spot in Dubai has come on leaps and bounds since opening in September 2017. Stare up at the Dubai Marina skyline and hang out in some serious style. Dhs200 (Sun-Sat). Dhs100 (ladies, Mon-Tue). Open daily 10.30am-8pm. One&Only Royal Mirage, Al Sufouh (04 315 2200).
More than 20 years old, this Dubai institution is as popular today as it ever has been. On the top deck, you’ll find the club’s famous giant telly, always showing the day’s big kick off. There’s another bar and the club’s swimming pool downstairs, and it’s always capable of throwing a pumping party. Free entry. Open Sat-Wed 10am-1am, Thu-Fri 10am-2.30am. Le Méridien Mina Seyahi BeachResort & Marina, Al Sufouh (04 318 1313).
Jetty Lounge is an ideal spot for laid-back beach vibes and a lazy drink on the sand. It’s effortlessly cool, undeniably classy and rather sophisticated in its style. Once darkness falls this place livens up. Lit up with purple and gold, the palm trees take on a tropical vibe that will make you feel like you’re on your holidays. It’s cool, it’s chic and it’s more grown-up than some other beach bars (though that can be reflected in the prices, which can be a bit steep). Head here for wonderful sundowners, get a drink in, sit back and relax. Free entry. Open daily 2pm-2am. One&Only Royal Mirage, Al Sufouh (04 399 9999).
Breeze Beach Grill
This is an excellent all-round bar, complete with the UAE’s first floating swimming pool. Whether it’s an afternoon whiling away the hours, sundowners or evening drinks, Breeze hits the spot every time. You can expect a daily happy hour, a huge outdoor terrace and some funky vibes, and of course that pool. Dhs100 (pool access). Open Sun-Thu noon-1am; Fri-Sat 9am-1am. Club Vista Mare, Palm Jumeirah (04 568 3000).
From its idyllic setting right on the beach, Key West offers a slice of tropical island life in Dubai. Inside it’s all crisp whites flecked by azure blue, in keeping with the colours and feel of the rest of the super-chic beach resort. Take up a seat outside on the beach-facing terrace, where the sounds from the sea make for a peaceful dining experience and make an absolutely perfect spot for sundowners. Free entry. Open daily 5pm-11pm. Nikki Beach Dubai Resort & Spa, Pearl Jumeira (04 376 6000).
This is, quite simply, the best beach club in Dubai. Zero Gravity is a top spot for day or night partying. Weekend brunches on Friday and Saturday, absolutely gigantic headliners throughout the year, massive New Year’s Eve parties and that gigantic swimming pool all make this Dubai Marina club one of the best places in town.
Free entry. Open Sun 10am-1am, Mon & Wed 10am-9pm, Tue 9am-3am, Thu 10am-3am, Fri 8am-3am, Sat 8am-1am. Skydive Dubai Drop Zone, Dubai Marina (04 399 0009).
