Dubai Police Officers Prevent Theft in Jebel Ali, Arrest Suspects
Dubai Police recovered stolen goods and arrested suspects, who have confessed to their crime. Brigadier Dr Adel Al Suwaidi has appreciated two patrol officers for their swift action
On Monday, Dubai Police shared details of an attempted theft on their official Facebook page. The post read, “Dubai Police has foiled a theft attempt involving two Asian nationals who had robbed, with the help of two others, a company's goods for trade purposes at the jurisdiction area of Jebel Ali Police Station.” It futher said that two officers had been doing the rounds of the area when they noticed a suspicious pick-up truck, which contained many boxes, and stopped the vehicle for questioning. The driver and passenger claimed they were carrying goods from one company to another but could not provide any information about the companies, invoices or any other documents related to the goods.
After thorough interrogation, the two suspects confessed the goods were stolen from a company, revealing that they had purchased these from the security guard of the company. The security guard was also arrested for questioning and confessed to the crime, while sharing that one of the company’s employees had assisted him in carrying out this theft.
In the Facebook post, Director of Jebel Ali Police Station, Brigadier Dr. Adel Al Suwaidi appreciated the two patrol officers for their vigilance and swift action.
In a separate case, another Dubai Police officer is receiving praise for saving an expat who was about to commit suicide in Dubai yesterday. The European man, who was facing some social and financial issues, had shared a suicide message on Facebook and was trying to end his life by hanging himself in a locked room. However, a friend alerted Dubai Police, who quickly reached the expat’s villa in Al Bada. A police officer climbed to the second floor to rescue the expat who had become unconscious. He performed CPR on him, after which he was taken to the hospital for care and recovery.
