Dubai is a city is that is forever evolving. This process of continuous change is a part of the larger effort to revolutionise services by making them as efficient as ever. In a new venture, Dubai Police will now be making payment of fines an easy process, made available through various channels. They said recently they have opened the new channels for payments as they continue to move toward smart services, making things easier and less time-consuming for the public.
As reported in an article in 7days.ae, the police force announced that it has signed an agreement with the Wall Street Company to activate new channels for customers as they deal with 22 banks in the UAE. Wall Street Company will activate the new payment channels after a month and motorists can also pay their fines by using their personal banking accounts.
Head of Dubai Police, General Khamis Mattar Al Muzaina said, “We want to cut time and effort in paying traffic fines. We don’t want to see long queues for people paying their fines. Now you can pay your fine by using your bank account and transfer money to pay the fines with one click. People can also use ATM machines to pay the fine”.
Wall Street’s CEO Bin Khrshim said “We are more than happy to be partner with Dubai Police as we are dealing with 22 banks in UAE and will organise the new payment channels”.
It was also reported in the article that Dubai Police recorded 2.9 million traffic offences last year worth nearly Dhs1 billion!
