DIWALI RECIPE: Anjeer Barfi

This Anjeer Barfi recipe is a delightful Diwali sweet treat

Anjeer Barfi from Puranmal
Makes 12-14 pieces

Ingredients:
? 300g dried figs
? 25-30g almonds
? 15-20 cashew nuts
? 15-20 pistachios
? 50g ghee
? 50g sugar

Method:
? Soak dried figs in some water till they are softened.
Make a paste with the figs and cook it in a pan by stirring it.
? When it boils, add ghee and sugar and stir well for about 10 more minutes.
? Add chopped almonds,
cashew nuts and pistachios and mix well.
? Stir continuously for 10 to 15 minutes on medium heat or till the excess moisture dries up and the mixture starts to leave the sides of the pan.
? Grease a tray and spread the mixture evenly on it with
a roller.
? When it cools, cut into pieces and serve.
