Kareena Kapoor Khan has reportedly turned down Ekta Kapoor’s offer to be a judge on dance reality show, Nach Baliye 7. According to media sources, Kareena who is currently working on Bajrangi Bhaijaan with Salman Khan and Abhishek Chaubey’s Udta Punjab, apparently believes that it is not the right time in her career to be working on television.
There was also news of Vidya Balan taking over along with co-judge Chetan Bhagat on the show that goes on air in May but she has reportedly declined the offer as well. However, Vidya is keen to work on a talk show on the lines of Oprah Winfrey. A source claims that the talk show will be a pioneering attempt on television and will be produced by a Hollywood studio and aired on an American television network.
Sources reveal that the show will mean that films will take a backseat in Vidya’s career as it requires six consecutive months of dates and she won’t be taking on any new Bollywood projects. Vidya, who had started her career with Ekta Kapoor’s Hum Paanch, does admit that television is her first love. Hopefully, Vidya’s small screen comeback will be just as exciting for viewers as it is for her.
