One of Deepika Padukone’s lesser known relationships were with Nihar Pandya, who was a popular model at the time.
Nihar has now gone on to bag a role in Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi, due to which he has suddenly re-emerged in headlines. Understandably so, everyone is looking forward to catch a glimpse of him, and since he’s relatively new in the industry, lots of fans refer to him as Ms. Padukone’s ex. In a recent interaction with the media, Nihar was questioned about how he felt being reffered to as her ex, he said, “I don’t get worked up over it. Yes, even the press note about my acting debut that was sent out referred to me as ‘ex-boyfriend’ but there is not much I can do about it right now. Deepika and I are cordial with each other and I hope people’s perception changes once they see my work in the film.”
Nihar will be seen playing the role of Bajirao II in the much awaited film. Speaking about his role in more detail, he said, “Krish (the director) not only auditioned me as an actor but checked out my action and horse-riding skills before signing me. I’ve trained with Nicholas Powell, one of Hollywood’s biggest action directors, for two months. The character is the film’s hero."
Considering the actor’s passion and dedication toward his craft, we sure do hope that Nihar’s role in the film is well received.
