It’s no surprise that Deepika Padukone turns heads each time she steps out. From her meticulously put together looks, to her uber chic style, to her gorgeous beauty looks, this beauty can do no wrong. Pictures from when Deepika stepped out on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet sent fans and social media into frenzy and the starlet’s pictures spread like wildfire across social media. Her makeup look from her first appearance on the red carpet had jaws dropping, so we thought we’d inspire you to create the look at home!
Deepika Padukone took the dramatic eye makeup look to a whole new level with this look. She took to Instagram to post a series of her pictures before heading out to make her appearance on the red carpet and boy, was the beauty world shook.
Her makeup artist ensured that the focal point of her look would be her eyes. Instead of giving her the conventional winged eyeliner atop her eyelids, the makeup artist chose to go under her eye. The elongated liner goes from the edge of her inner eye, all the way to her outer eye and beyond. With eyebrows on fleek, the eye makeup is complete with dramatic lashes and lined with kohl! Lots of kohl.
Stila’s Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner and L’Oréal’s Infallible Super Slim Liquid Eyeliner
If you’re creating this look at home, you’ll need an eyeliner of fine quality to ensure you get through both eyes. Stila’s Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner would work wonders for this look, or L’Oréal’s Infallible Super Slim Liquid Eyeliner, which has a super fine tip, would work well too. A waterproof liner would help you avoid any smudges and embarrassing moments.
With a steady hand, start from the inner edge of your eye and create a line all the way out to the outer edge. If you don’t want the look to be as dramatic as Deepika’s, then adjust the length of your line accordingly. Once you’re happy with the length, fill it in. Line the lower and upper water line with kohl and you’re almost done!
Depending on how dramatic you want your look to be, choose your falsies accordingly. Now, we don’t all get to go to Cannes so perhaps choose lightweight lashes or just add a slick of mascara to your own eyes and you should be good to go. Keep the rest of your makeup super simple, put on those heels and get ready to paint the town red!
