Deepika Padukone is all set to essay the role of real life acid attack survivor, Laxmi Agarwal in the Meghna Gulzar directorial.
Now, the film is all set to release in just a few days ahead of Deepika Padukone’s birthday. Many might be thinking that the Piku actress is going to ring in her birthday with a huge birthday bash, but let us tell you this, that is far from her plans. A source close to the actress has revealed that the actress is going to spend her birthday with acid attack victims in the city. Deepika Padukone will be heading to a cafe run by acid attack victims and spend her birthday there.
The insider added that acid attack survivors from neighbouring cities will also be a part of the celebrations. "Deepika will leave for Delhi later in the day to resume the promotional rounds of Chhapaak,” the source shared.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Deepika Padukone recently wrapped up shooting for the Kabir Khan directorial, ’83. Deepika Padukone is also gearing up for the release of Meghna Gulzaar’s Chhapaak in which she will essay the role of real life acid attack survivor; Laxmi Agarwal.
