1.      Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez made headlines for her not-so-great look at the Golden Globe Awards in early January. But it appears, the starlet managed to redeem herself at the Critics Choice Awards and was among the best dressed for the night. The singer was clad in a figure-hugging Georges Hobeika gown which featured a long train at the back. The sand coloured gown featured a transparent back and was encrusted with rhinestones all the way around the neck and on the edges of the bodice. A thin band of stones also went all around her waist and this look was effortless and exuded elegance at the same time.

For her hair and makeup look, the Jenny From the Block singer opted for sultry smokey eyes and her signature dewy look. With all that bronzer, she kept her lips nude and had her hair swept back and left loose behind her. She accessorized with a pair of diamond drop earrings and a matching bracelet and clutch and this was by far our favourite look of the night.

2.      Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone has been immersed in promotions for her latest film release, Chhapaak, for which she sported some rather chic looks. One look that caught our eye was the mustard coloured ensemble by Sabyasachi. The outfit featured a long kameez adorned in sequins and teamed with a churidaar pajama, exuding major traditional vibes. The ensemble was accompanied with a matching dupatta and she teamed the look with a pair of sparkly Christian Louboutin heels. The look was rounded off with a black bucket bag and a pair of statement earrings. With her hair tied back in a sleek bun and a shimmer bronze makeup look, DP is certainly a class apart.

3.      Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka Chopra’s look at the Golden Globe Awards was one of the most awaited looks of the event. And Pee Cee most certainly didn’t disappoint. While she can sometimes go off track when it comes to red carpet looks, this time she was a real winner in our books. The Isn’t It Romantic star graced the red carpet in a bubblegum pink Cristina Ottaviano number which featured strapless off-the-shoulder sleeves and a short train. The body hugging dress showed off her toned physique and she styled her glamourous look with a vintage Hollywood style hairdo. She rounded off her look with rosy makeup and a deep berry lip, Bulgari jewels and a million-dollar smile.

4.      Mandy Moore

While we’re used to seeing fabulous voluminous gowns on every red carpet, singer Mandy Moore opted to stand out and was most certainly a class apart in her unconventional look for the blue carpet. She most certainly left heads turning after she graced the blue carpet in an Ellie Saab number.  Mandy Moore ditched the glitzy, glamourous gown and opted instead for an all-black look in a jumpsuit. She looked chic to boot and most definitely stole the show. The jumpsuit featured a plunging neckline and a cape that tied around her neck. Gold chains cinched at her waist and she looked nothing short of effortless. The look was brought together with a pair of black heels and middle parted hair tied back in a messy bun. With rosy makeup and dangling earrings, Mandy Moore was a sight to behold on the blue carpet.

5.      Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez is all set to have a big year in 2020. With the release of her new album and after tattooing the name of her album, Rare, to her neck; she has most certainly made a bold comeback. She is also making more of an appearance on social media after hiding from the spotlight in 2019 and one of her looks this year is proof that she is back with a bang. Selena Gomez was spotted out and about as she headed for a dinner date with friends. She was clad in a pair of loose-fit boyfriend jeans which she teamed with a chic white cashmere sweater tucked into her jeans. She coupled the look with a pair of tan coloured boots and made a bold statement to say the least. The pop singer opted for a 60’s style hairdo with winged liner and was ready to slay the day.
These looks have paved way for a fashionable year ahead. As the year goes on, a number of fashionable events and fashion weeks are coming up and we can’t wait to see what the year ahead holds for us, sartorially speaking.
