Salman Khan's upcoming show Nach Baliye season 9 has been creating quite the buzz for some time now. The dance reality show which will be produced by Salman's production house will see ex-couples come together and shake a leg with each other. With promos underway rumours were abuzz that Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh would grace the premiere episode of the show. Fans were excited to see the star couple appears on the first episode, however, a latest update suggests that the report was simply a baseless rumour and was completely untrue.
According to a source, well informed about the industry said that both Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are busy working on their respective films. "It is just a plain baseless rumour. Both Deepika and Ranveer are neck deep with their work commitments currently as we all know and there is no way for them to do Nach Baliye. No plans like this have even been discussed so we can tell you that there is no truth to this,” the informant said. Ranveer Singh is currently busy working on Kabir Khan’s upcoming ’83 while Deepika is gearing up for the release of Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak.
An earlier report gave rise to speculations that the pair was going to kick start the dance show alongside Salman. A source claimed that the channel was in talks with Bollywood’s star couple and that shooting for the episode would commence in the second week of July. "The channel is in talks with the couple to make an appearance, and unless the schedule of their sports drama which is currently on in London is hit for a six, they will be the first celebrity guests. The opening episode will be shot in the second week of July," a source was quoted as saying.
Both Ranveer and Deepika will soon be seen sharing screen space for the first time since they tied the knot in ’83. Ranveer is all set to essay the role of legendary cricketer Kapil Dev, while Deepika will be playing the role of his wife, Romi Bhatia. The film is slated for release next year.
