Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor to Reunite for This Project
Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor who have remained friends after their break up, reunite for an ad that shows their friendly banter
Bollywood has seen the rise and fall of many star couples throughout time, but not many choose to remain friends after a bad breakup. But unlike many, former couple Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor seem to have a very good relationship post their fall back in 2009. Deepika even appeared on the last season of Koffee with Karan with Ranbir's current girlfriend and fellow actress, Alia Bhatt, which shows that all is good between the two. Nevertheless, Deepika and Ranbir have starred in numerous films together throughout the course of their career, which have gone on to become some of the biggest hits of Bollywood.
The duo were also last seen together in 2015's Tamasha. And it seems like they have reunited for the screen this time - not for a film, but an advertisement. Brand ambassadors to a paint brand, Deepika and Ranbir sizzled with their on-screen chemistry in an ad for Asian Paints. The ad kicks off with Ranbir calling Deepika and complaining about not inviting him to her house-warming party. Promoting the paint's anti-bacterial technology, the Padmaavat actress takes a dig at Ranbir stating that she didn't invite him for his own protection. Their friendly banter looks effortless on screen.
On the work front, Ranbir will be next seen in Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra with Alia. He last appeared in Sanju which earned him a lot of praises from the industry. Meanwhile, Deepika is also flying high on the success of her film Padmaavat. The Bollywood beauty got married to Ranveer Singh late last year and the two are in a very good place together. She is also working on her first production Chhapaak in which she plays an acid attack survivor that is expected to release early next year. Deepika will also be seen next to Ranveer in '83 as his on-screen wife.
