The Met Gala ball is considered to be one of, if not the, biggest fashion event to happen every year. Known officially as the Costume Institute Gala at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art, the gala invites the most elite and famous from all walks of life, whether it be in film, television, music, art, fashion and much more. Every year a theme is chosen for its invitees to encompass in their fashion. Past themes include 'Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination', 'Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty' and 'Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between.' There are no rules to inhibit the guests' freedom in going all out with their sense of fashion and style as each tries to best the theme they've been given. This year's theme was 'Camp: Notes on Fashion', referring to the aesthetic style that is all about the exaggerated and the theatrical, anything that goes against the norm. Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour is the overseer and head of the event and she is joined with a different set of co-chairs each year. This year's includes Lady Gaga, Alessandro Michele, Harry Styles and Serena Williams.
