She will be seen alongside her husband for the very first time since they tied the knot and will be essaying the role of Romi Bhatia, wife of legendary cricket player; Kapil Dev. The film is all set to narrate the story of how Kapil Dev lead India to victory in the 1983 World Cup. Deepika Padukone is also gearing up for the release of Meghna Gulzaar’s Chhapaak in which she will essay the role of real life acid attack survivor; Laxmi Agarwal.
