Remember the Deepika Padukone from her debut film “Om Shanti Om”? I sometime wonder the hard work this woman has done to groom herself into who she is today. From being Shanti Priya to a fashion icon for Cannes 2019, the game has been really strong and I believe the journey has been hard too! But we’re loving it, aren’t we all? The pressure on our actors and actresses to keep up with fashion along with their acting profession is a lot to deal with but, Deepika seems to be playing it cool and experimenting with her fashion journey that too, successfully.
Being a B ollywood fan and especially a Deepika Padukone fan, I have seen this woman groom and work on herself throughout her acting journey, be it her fashion statement or her acting skills, at this point of her career everything is on POINT. Last year Deepika made her appearance at Cannes with a shocking pink gown that blew everyone away but this year everyone seems to be talking about how Deepika slayed the red carpet of Cannes film festival.
It's been 12 years since Deepika made her debut in bollywood with Om Shanti Om, since then Deepika has always been in the news with a better news everytime.
This year at the second day of Cannes, Deepika wore a lime green ruffled gown from Giambattista Valli paired with a baby pink headband and matching bow and I have been drooling over this look ever since I saw the pictures. This look has been one of the most eye catching looks at Cannes this year. In the entire trip for Cannes Deepika has carried every look very gracefully and elegantly.
That said, we should stop putting our actors and actresses in the pressure of always looking perfect and let them experiment with their fashion statement. It’s their films that matter the most, it’s the characters they play in films that stay with us forever, not their fashion statements. So we all should play it cool, the reason why all these celebrities made up to Cannes is because of their work not because of how they carry themselves. Deepika has become a fashion icon by experimenting and challenging her fashion statement only, I mean we have always seen her play it cool, no?
