If anything, you cannot miss the stark resemblance between yesteryear actress Madhubala's Mughal-e-Azam character and Deepika Padukone's Mastani avatar from Bajirao Mastani.
The lovely Deepika Padukone looks like she has just stepped out of the historic sets of the Mughal drama, styled perfctly to reflect a classical beauty reminiscent of those times.
A source quoted in bollywoodlife.com says that Deepika Padukone has shot a beautiful song shot in a specially constructed Aaina Mahal where she would be paying a tribute to Madhubala and her song Pyar Kiya Toh Darna Kya. “Under the supervision of choreographer Remo D’Souza Deepika danced like a dream. This number will do to her what Pyar Kiya Toh Darna Kya did to Madhubala. And yes, Sanjay Bhansali has shot images of Deepika reflected in scores of her reflection in mirror images in his Aaina Mahal, just like K Asif had shot Madhubala in Sheesh Mahal." adds the source
The grandeur and grace of Bhansali's song will be at par with the Mughal-e-Azam song. The article also mentioned that Sanjay Bhansali has designed his song on his Aaina Mahal set, as a tribute to K Asif, Mughal-e-Azam and Deepika.
Just like Pyar Kiya to Darna Kiya was shot to show Madhubala's true beauty, will Deewani Mastani pay the same tribute to Deepika?
