Deepika Padukone and Lilly Singh attended the Met Gala 2019 looking gorgeous. Deepika stunned in her pale lilac gown which seemed to be the color of the event. Deepika had a Barbie-inspired look for the Met Gala in a gown by Zac Posen. Lilly Singh tweeted a picture of her and Deepika where she said she "searched the entire Met Gala, knocked over 6 chairs with my dress, got stepped on by 16 people and got a cramp... to find my sister Deepika Padukone and give her a hug. Worth it."

Deepika gave a hilarious solution to this problem by tweeting, "The next time...just call! Easier way to find me! Love you sista!".
Lilly Singh earlier got a response from Madhuri Dixit Nene as well when she did a small video with video sensation Bhuvan Bam.
On Instagram, Ranveer Singh also said it was "worth the shiz." Ranveer Singh often comments on Deepika Padukone's pictures and vice versa . Deepika also gave her husband a lot of supportive comments when Ranveer Singh launched his independent music label IncInk.
Priyanka Chopra was also present with husband Nick Jonas. Priyanka wore an Alice in Wonderland inspired gown by Dior and the two also posed for a photograph together. Priyanka's first public appearance with now-husband Nick Jonas had also occurred at an earlier Met Gala.
Deepika is currently working on Meghna Gulzar's Chhapaak which is about the life of an acid attack victim. It is said to be loosely based on the life of Laxmi Aggarwal who was attacked when she was just 15. Husband Ranveer Singh is working on a biopic of cricket star Kapil Dev, titled '83.
