It seems as though starlets Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone have much more in common than the same taste in men. OR did Ranbir Kapoor express his love for women in floral saris and these two caught onto it? Well, we’re not quite sure about the answer but what we do know is that from this generation of B-town ladies (of course, no one can compare to the late Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit or Shabana Azmi), these three carry off the age-old attire with utmost grace and sophistication. Take cue as we break down our favourite sari looks on these stylish A-listers.
Beginning with the epitome of elegance, the Piku star’s physique is made for figure-defining silhouettes. The Bollywood Mastani is always on top of her game and this time was no different. From all her sari looks, this one definitely had our hearts swooning, for not one but multiple reasons. First things first - the colour combo was unique, out-of-the-box and surely not something many would experiment with. Moving on, Deepika made a case with oversized flowers in bright yellow. While the leaves and detailing added the oomph factor to the Sabyasachi number, the white backdrop was what made it look all the more attractive. There was nothing overboard about the look, with the thick gold sequined border keeping the glamour quotient high. While the fashion diva sizzled in the cut-out black blouse, we love how there were no heavy embellishments, sans the worked neck and sleeves. Not to forget, what makes a sari look all the more dashing yet beautiful are elbow-length sleeves.
Deepika made a mark with the evidently winged eyeliner, tied hair (because who wouldn’t want to show a sexy back?) and bare minimal accessories.
Many feel the actor is too ‘British’ to own a sari. But we feel she owned the attire on not one but multiple instances. For the promotions of her recently released super hit film Bharat, Katrina slayed in a floral sari. For starters, we absolutely love how she draped it completely over her chest, with the front of the blouse not visible from any angle. Kat sported an orange sari, with purplish-blue blossoms and a touch of green. The blue and orange contrast flattered her skin tone to say the least. There was very subtle work on the sari, adding the perfect pop of shine to her look.
But what made her glow even more was the highlighter, which accentuated her cheekbones and perfectly shaped nose. With loose waves and chaandbalis, Katrina looked fit for a princess.
Just for jokes: Ranbir’s current beau Alia Bhatt too has a soft spot for floral saris. Check her look out below!
