Salman Khan’s legendary character Chulbul Pandey of the “Dabangg” series has an iconic place in the Bollywood universe. Ever since he took to the big screen with the first “Dabangg” movie over nine years ago, the character and flick became an instant hit with the masses and still boasts a dedicated fan base to this day. So, of course, moviegoers were overjoyed when it was announced that the series would be getting a third film, entitled “Dabangg 3.” Salman and the rest of the “Dabangg 3” team have been teasing sneak peeks of the flick ahead of its release later this year but now, we finally have our first official look at the still and motion film posters. Check them out below!
Salman took to his Instagram to share exclusive looks at the posters, marking 100 days until "Dabangg 3" hits theatres. In the motion poster clip above, we are greeted to a low-angle shot of Salman walking, as his narration states the tagline of the film: “Swagat toh karo hamara.” The superstar is sporting the typical Chulbul avatar, complete with the signature aviator sunglasses and moustache.
Film critic and analyst Taran Adarsh also shared the first still poster of the film. In the first look poster, we can see a more detailed shot of Salman and how he’ll be appearing in the film. So far, there don’t seem to be any clues about what the film’s story will be about but, judging from the background and the tool that Salman kicks out of the way in the motion poster, it looks like a car junkyard might be playing a big role in the flick.
Other than the return of Chulbul Pandey, “Dabangg 3” also marks the reunion of Salman and filmmaker and choreographer Prabhu Deva, who directed the actor’s 2009 action flick “Wanted.” The film served as Salman’s big return to the box office and ushered in a new era for the actor. “Dabangg 3” stars Salman, Sonakshi Sinha, Arbaaz Khan, Sudeep and Mahie Gill. It is slated to release in theatres in the UAE on December 20, 2019.
