The Houston, Texas, USA-based TikToker Kya Renee goes by the handle CookingWithKya on TikTok. She is well-known for her culinary-themed videos. Every single one of her cooking videos features her introducing herself as “Cooking with Kya.” Last year, in mid-December, she gained ground for her alleged NSFW video/s, which burst on social media platforms such as X, Instagram, and Reddit. The theories surrounding CookingwithKya’s arrest gained traction when a YouTube video on the topic surfaced. The one minute eight second long video was posted, a week ago, by a YouTube user named Physio Quotes. The authenticity of the video is quite uncertain, to say the least.
As a result of the fact that neither Kya nor her representatives have responded to the rumors, and that no trustworthy sources have also stated anything about the arrest, nor has any mugshot of her been made public, it is reasonable to conclude that Kya was not arrested.

The Tik Toker, today, shared a video on her YouTube channel titled, “HOW TO COOK BAKED ZITI”. Ziti, for the unversed and culinary aficionados, is a version of tubular pasta. Sadlyhim, a rapper, recently shared some behind-the-scenes moments with Cooking With Kya on his Instagram, stating, “Sadlyhim – Cooking With Kya” OUT NOW EVERYWHERE!!!!” These posts clearly show that Kya is in a good place. Kya is a controversial figure, admired by some and criticized by others due to the content of her videos, which many perceive as misogynistic. Though her fans feel that she is targeted primarily because of her race.
