Confirmed! Fawad Khan is All Set to Return to Music

The dashing star will get back to his rockstar roots

Looks like the Fawad Khan fever is not set to abate any time soon. The actor, who made waves with his cover for Masala! last week is all set to give his fans another reason to rejoice – his return to music! Yes! It is confirmed that the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil star is not just a part of ‘Battle of the Bands’ but also is working on his own comeback to music.

Fawad is one of the jury members of the BoB – a platform for budding bands across the country to showcase their talent – along with Aaroh frontman Farooq and Meesha Shafi. The Express Tribune quotes a source as saying, “Fawad had a ball during the show; it was almost as if he has found the lost connection with his rockstar persona. He could be seen around the set, jamming with upcoming musicians, crashing the drum kit and having loads of fun.” Apparently, Fawad takes his jury duty very seriously and is often seen giving strict feedback to the participants.

The other big news of course is that Fawad will use this platform of Battle of the Bands to launch his own music career after a lull of several years. For those who came in late, Fawad first gained fame as a rocker with his band Entity Paradigm (EP) that was, incidentally, discovered in a Pepsi Battle of the Bands season. He had also appeared on Coke Studio. Television and films took him away from music for a while but we got a glimpse of his talent when he sang a few notes of Dilbar Mere on the popular TV show Kaun Banega Crorepati during the promotions of Khoobsurat

Now, the actor plans to be more regular on the music scene and is likely to release his song in July this year. We can’t wait!
