Cinemas to Reopen in Dubai: Here's What You Can Expect
Cinemas are ready to reopen in Dubai. Here's what you can expect
As you know, cinemas, gyms, wholesale retailers are all allowed to reopen their businesses from Tuesday. Many of us would love to rush back to cinemas asap but wait. Here are a few things we need to remember before we book tickets.
Social Distancing is Still Key:
A statement by Majid Al Futtaim said that all their brands including cinemas have "undertaken extensive precautionary measures and, in addition to already stringent sanitization standards, have put in place enhanced safety protocols to ensure that guests and employees can enjoy a comfortable experience with added peace of mind. Fogging machines are being used to disinfect large areas, and staff are cleaning and sanitizing surfaces after every guest interaction, paying particular attention to high touchpoints such as counters, POS and payment terminals." However, seats will be empty around one person so two people or a group of people won't really be able to sit together.
You can book tickets via website or app. The kiosks are going to be closed for Vox Cinemas. Tickets for Vox Cinemas' bookings will be available from today at 6 pm.
Cinema hours will be aligned to the mall opening hours.
Children under the age of 12 are still not allowed, and individuals over the age of 60 are also not allowed to enter mall premises. Earlier UAE had lifted the lockdown during the day when Ramadan began. Before Ramadan, the UAE was running sterilization drives across the country in order to disinfect public places.
The UAE has also conducted over 2 million tests since the pandemic hit UAE, and it has also announced various stimulus packages for businesses. It is hoped that things will improve once we have a vaccine by the end of the year and life can go back to being 'normal' as we once knew it.
