Chris Evans Replaced by John Krasinski in Captain America? Find out here!
John Krasinski shared that he had auditioned for the role of Marvel’s Captain America before it was given to Chris Evans
Over the course of the past few years, Marvel films have been loved by many across the globe. The likes of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America amongst many others, have been favourites of many. Earlier this year, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) wrapped up its Avengers’ franchise with the Avengers: Endgame as the last installment. Now, fans are waiting for the next jump with some more films based on the MCU characters. But that’s not all that’s happened. Throughout time, many celebrities have claimed to have auditioned for roles in the MCU but were not given a go-ahead. One such actor is John Krasinski.
John celebrated his 40th birthday yesterday and earlier this morning, the actor took to Twitter to raise funds for families of cancer patients. In his tweet, he teased Chris Evans of stealing Captain America from him. John wrote, “Alright, getting into the afternoon here and this donation train keeps rolling. Hey Chris Evans, remember when you robbed me of the role of Captain America? Time to pay up?”
Alright getting into the afternoon here and this donation train keeps a rollin! Hey @ChrisEvans remember when you robbed me of the role of Captain America?... time to pay up? #JKbday @familyreach https://t.co/POUGm6qJRg

Chris replied back to star with a meme that read, “There. Now we’re even.” In an earlier interview, John had also said, “My agent called and said, 'They're going to go with Chris Evans,' And I remember I said, 'Yeah, look at him. He's Captain America.’”
In the past, there have been many reports of other stars being cast in the MCU. It was once reported that Tom Cruise was being considered for the role of Iron Man, which was later landed by Robert Downey Jr. Likewise, Tom Hiddleston – who was cast to play Loki – earlier auditioned to play his character’s brother, the God of Thunder, Thor. There were also rumours that Chris had rejected the role of Steve Rogers aka Captain America. But with the last installment of the Avengers franchise, Chris will not be a part of the MCU anymore.
