After a few days of the Bigg Boss 15 fever went down, another news of a new reality show hit avid tv-watchers. The television czarina Ekta Kapoor announced her first venture on a reality show, named Lock Upp.

The fearless drama will be hosted by Kangana Ranaut who is anticipated to perform it with her unapologetic aura. Now, the show announced the first contestant of its first ever season.

Television actress Nisha Rawal will join the house as the first ever contestant of the house. The production house shared the video on its Instagram platform where Nisha was seen wearing an orange jumpsuit while dressing up as the video proceeds, Kangana Ranaut approached and put her in a lock up with handcuffs. She is charged with “controversial fights”.

Nisha who is popular for her characters in shows like Main Lakshmi tere aangan ki, shaadi mubarak, stated, “I am very excited to make this new and challenging journey. Never seen or heard before, this show will set a new benchmark in the Indian OTT industry. I am excited to be a part of this visual treat for the audience. Also, big applause to Endemol, ALTBalaji, and MX Player for launching a unique reality show.”

Nisha was caught up with a ugly feud with husband Karan Mehra last year. She also filed a police complaint against her husband of physical assault. Karan is also accused of having an extra marital affair.

On the other hand, Lock Upp will be streaming from February 27 on Alt Balaji and MX player. The show is going to have a fearless drama consisting of some of the “controversial” celebrities of all time. The celebrities will be locked up in the jail for 72 days and viewers will have the authority to punish or reward the contestants.

Earlier, Kangana Ranaut opened up about hosting Lock Upp, she stated to a leading daily, “I am thrilled to be a part of this captive reality show where the contestants will not only have to face their demons and deal with their insecurities but will also have to reveal their darkest truths. Lock Upp is for honest people who just don’t care about how likeable they are. And I just can’t wait to host this most fearless show ever.”
