Javed Jaffri became instantly recognisable following a series of TV commercials he did for the Maggi brand of tomato ketchup. In cinema, he was first cast as a villain in 1985 in the film 'Meri Jung'.
Javed's comic prowess was brought out when he began hosting shows on TV. A talented dancer, he also hosted the long-running TV dance show 'Boogie Woogie with his brother Javed and friend Ravi Behl'.
Javed's film career is on the upswing after a slowdown and he's starred in 'Salaam Namaste', 'Dhamaal' and most recently 'Double Dhamaal' (2011).
