Irrfan Khan

Irrfan Khan graduated from the National School of Drama in 1984 and began his acting career with television serials such as "Chanakya", "Chandrakanta" and "Darr".

He made his film debut with Mira Nair's "Salaam Bombay", but his role was edited out in the final film.

He won international recognition for his performance in the British film, "The Warrior". But recognition in Bollywood came for the actor only in 2003 with his performance in Vishal Bharadwaj's "Maqbool".

In 2004 he won the Filmfare best villain award for "Haasil". In 2007 he won the Filmfare best supporting actor award for "Life in a Metro".

Khan has appeared in international films such as "The Namesake", "A Mighty Heart", "The Darjeeling Ltd" and "Slumdog Millionaire".

His Bollywood credits include "Aaja Nachle", "Krazzy 4", "Dil Kabbadi", "Delhi-6" and "Billu Barber".

He is married to writer Sutapa Sikdar.
