Calling all film fans: A Bollywood film festival is coming to Dubai
The festival will take place in Roxy Cinemas across Dubai
The film world came to complete halt due to Coronavirus, leaving film addicts with no choice but to stay at home and watch Netflix. This summer’s films have been postponed and rescheduled for later release dates, meaning film fans have to wait to watch their lo
ng anticipated new releases.
If there’s nothing you miss more than going to the cinema, then the Roxy Cinemas Bollywood Film Festival is there to save the day as they will be hosting a 2-day festival, inviting Bollywood fans to watch screens of new and classic films whilst keeping in line with Coronavirus guidelines.
Guests can enjoy their favourite cult classics whilst enjoying an array of Indian snacks which will be available exclusively for the festival.
The City Walk brand of Roxy Cinema will be given a glamorous makeover fit for A-listers as they roll out the red carpet for festival goers to walk down. Before the film starts, guests will enjoy some pre-film entertainment as there will be a Bollywood Magician to warm up the crowd before the film starts. Some of the newer films being screened include: Good Newwz, Dream Girl, Baaghi 3 and Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior.
Ticket prices start at Dh65 with a pre booking or Dh75 if you purchase on the day. If you want the premium experience then you can purchase the Gold Screen for Dh140 in advance or Dh150 on the day. The Gold Screen package includes a selection of Indian dishes such as spicy popcorn, samosas and vada pav.
Social distancing and Coronavirus guidelines will be in place to ensure the safely of festival goers.
