Bunty Aur Babli 2: The Cast Arrives to Shoot in Abu Dhabi

Rani Mukerji and Siddhant Chaturvedi arrived and will reportedly spend more than a week in the region. They are expected to shoot the con and some parts of the Bunty Aur Babli 2 as well

It seems like Abu Dhabi has become the new shooting hub for Bollywood directors. It was not too long ago when former flames Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif visited the Gulf emirate for the filming of a few sequences of their 2019 release Bharat. According to a press release, other Indian cinema stars are now gearing up to head to Abu Dhabi for the shooting of the upcoming comedy, Bunty Aur Babli 2.  Rani Mukerji and Siddhant Chaturvedi of Gully Boy fame have been cast and will reportedly spend more than a week in the region. Co-star Saif Ali Khan is also expected to accompany them on the trip.

Yash Raj Films (YRF) is prepping for a larger-than-life, all-out entertainer. “Bunty Aur Babli 2 will be the quintessential Hindi film that will be presented as the big summer entertainer to the youth and family audiences. We are clear that given it’s a sequel to a much loved film which is set in today’s time, the cons need to be crafted for today’s audience who will expect something new and slick. They will get exactly that when they see the film in theatres,” said director Varun Sharma.

“We are shooting a highlight con in Abu Dhabi. The landscape of Abu Dhabi just gives a lot of scale to the film and the team is going to spend around 10 days shooting the con and also some parts of the film. We want to make Bunty Aur Babli 2 a cool entertainer for all,” he added. Bunty Aur Babli 2 will introduce a fresh Bunty and Babli pairing of Siddhant and budding actor Sharvari, launched by YRF. Saif and Rani will feature as the original Bunty Aur Babli. Produced by Aditya Chopra, Bunty Aur Babli 2 will be directed by debutant Varun, who worked as an Assistant Director in YRF’s biggest blockbusters Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai. Varun concluded, “I can’t divulge anything further except that it will be a con that will stand out. We can’t wait to shoot this sequence.” The original featured Abhishek and Rani Mukerji.
