Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie’s Son Maddox Breaks Silence on His Relationship With His Father
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s first adopted son Maddox said that he doesn’t know if his father would visit him at university
Hollywood stars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have always managed to make headlines. The two caught media attention when they started dating back in 2005 after they met on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith. They then got married back in 2014, however, after two years of marriage, Angelina filed for divorce. Reports suggest that it was because the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star had allegedly hit their first adopted son, Maddox in a private plane abroad. Brad denied all allegations of hitting their son, but did admit to screaming at him. Now, it looks like Maddox has finally opened up on his relationship with his father.
In a new video obtained by In Touch weekly, a reporter is seen asking Maddox if his father plans to visit him at his university any time soon. Maddox replied, “I don’t know about that or what’s happening.” When questioned if his relationship with Brad was over, he commented, “Well, whatever happens, happens.”
Last month, Maddox also told US Weekly that he “doesn’t really see himself as Brad’s son”.
After the incident that triggered Angelina to file a divorce from Brad in 2016, a case was filed against him as well for hitting Maddox. However, the FBI cleared the actor and did not file any charges against him. An insider close to Brad also revealed that the actor was hopeful that his issues with Maddox will be resolved soon and they’d be close again when he grows older. Angelina and Brad adopted Maddox as their first child back in 2002. Sources close to the couple reveal that Angelina has always been close to Maddox. She also accompanied him to his first day of university in South Korea where he will be studying science and technology. He enrolled in Yonsei University in August this year.
