Tamil film “Nerkonda Paarvai” which stars Ajith is set to hit the screens next month on August 8, reported a foreign media outlet. The news was revealed by producer Boney Kapoor earlier this week who said the movie will be released two days before the originally planned date. He announced this on Twitter. “Nerkonda Paarvai will release worldwide on August 8th,” he had said. The only reason the film is releasing earlier is because of Ajith, who is a Sai Baba fan and believes that if the movie is released on “Thursday”, it will bestow good luck.

Kapoor also shared a new poster of the film. He is targeting the South Indian market with his new Tamil project. The movie will star Shraddha Srinath, Andrea Tariang and Abhirami Venkatachalam apart from Vidya Balan who is debuting her role in a Tamil movie. The music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. It is pertinent to mention that this project only came into being because of Ajith’s promise to Sri Devi. According to sources, Sridevi wished that her husband Boney Kapoor would produce a film with Ajith, who shared screen space with the veteran Bollywood actress in “English Vinglish.”
It is directed by Vinoth, who in a recent interview disclosed the reasons he was hesitant in taking up a remake so early on in his career. “I know about Ajith sir fans. I have had a tough journey to build a career, and a mistake could spell disaster. I realised that there could be two issues — how his fans would consume this film and how a cult film that has admirers across the country could be remade by retaining the essence. We should first at least understand half of Pink. The challenge was also to find the right cast and crew. I told Ajith sir these issues and that I was afraid to do this film. He told me that he would not pressurize me and told me to concentrate on another script,” he had stated.
