Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor, starred together in Shashank Khaitan's Dhadak.  Khaitan's Dhadak was a Hindi adaptation of blockbuster Marathi film Sairat. The young, budding couple has been rumored to be dating for a long time now.

Even though both, Jhanvi and Ishaan have denied all these rumors making rounds on the internet and social media, in a recent interaction with some reporters, Janhvi Kapoor's father Boney Kapoor also rubbished and hushed all such reports. He said, "Yes, Ishaan and Janhvi have done a movie together and they must have become friends. I respect my daughter and her friendship with Ishaan." Meanwhile, Ishaan and Janhvi were apparently reported to star in Karan Johar's Hindi remake of Vijay Deverakonda's recently released film 'Dear Comrade'. However, on the contrary, the ace filmmaker took to social media to deny these reports. Karan Johar tweeted: "All the best and big success to the team of Dear Comrade on July 26! Also a clarification! No lead actors have been considered or approached for the film as yet."

Apart from this, Janhvi has her hands full with projects like RoohiAfza, Gunjan Saxena biopic and Dostana 2 alongside Kartik Aaryan, Ishaan will soon be seen in the Ali Abbas Zafar untitled film opposite Ananya Panday. But the fans and followers of this adorable couple would be in for a real treat if Karan Johar somehow manages to feature these young talented actors together once again on the big silver screen. The upcoming Jhanvi Kapoor and Raj Kumar Rao starrer film has also undergone a sudden name-change. Previously named "Rooh Afza", which is also a traditional rose-elixir drink and century-old product of Hamdard Laboratories (Waqf). Now, the title, has been renamed to RoohiAfza to avoid a possible lawsuit for using an existing brand name for the film.
