There are few stories to break than to announce that one of Bollywood’s most beloved couples in recent memory, Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar are now proud parents. Yami and Aditya took to Instagram to announce the fact they have indeed welcomed their first child, a baby boy. The couple who have collaborated on two super successful projects tied the knot in June 2021.

In a joint post, the couple announced the birth of their beloved son and his name, Vedavid. They mentioned that the child was born on an auspicious day, Akshaya Tritiya, and sought the blessings and love of their fans. Reports of Yami’s pregnancy were confirmed earlier this year when she attended the trailer launch of the recently released hit film, ‘Article 370’. Naturally, the news of Yami Gautam’s pregnancy was met with love and anticipation from the many fans who reacted to the news.
Yami and Aditya were one of the ‘It” couples in Bollywood and were allegedly dating for over two years before they chose to marry each other. Yami starred in the film ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’, the 2019 Vicky Kaushal film that was directed by Aditya Dhir and went on to become a massive hit. Yami Gautam recently shared her experience of shooting ‘Article 370’ while she was pregnant and said that the experience was “mentally draining”.
The arrival of baby Vedavid is a new milestone in the lives of Yami Gautam and husband, Aditya. While fans across the country would be eager to express their love and excitement, it is crucial for everyone to remember that this is an extremely private moment for the couple and restraint needs to be exercised. The new parents need to be allowed the time to figure out how they wish to handle this part of their journey, vis-a-vis the media.
