On September 17, 2023, Shilpa Shetty, accompanied by her husband Raj Kundra, visited Lalbaugh for this auspicious occasion. In the pictures and videos that have since gone viral on the internet, the couple can be seen carrying their ‘Gannu Maharaj,’ whose face was veiled with an orange chunari. Shilpa also shared a glimpse of the Lord Ganesh Idol, which was truly mesmerizing. Her joy and excitement were evident as she prepared to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi with her loved ones.
For this special occasion, Shilpa Shetty chose a stunning ethnic outfit. She looked absolutely gorgeous in a green anarkali suit adorned with embellishments on the cuffs. Shilpa completed her look with a multi-colored striped dupatta featuring tassels and intricate embroidery on the borders. She accessorized with stud earrings, bangles, winged eyeliner, pink lipstick, highlighted cheekbones, and a bindi. On the other hand, her husband Raj concealed his face with a black mask and wore a brown hoodie, which he paired with a red t-shirt and pants.

On September 2, 2022, Shilpa had shared an adorable picture on her Instagram showcasing their celebrations on the third day of Ganesh Utsav. In the photo, she and her daughter, Samisha, were twinning in matching pastel-colored shararas adorned with floral prints, creating an endearing mother-daughter moment. It was Samisha’s charming antics in the picture that truly warmed our hearts.
In a previous interview with Pinkvilla, Shilpa opened up about her parenting style. She discussed why she and her husband, Raj, prioritize spending quality time with their children, Viaan and Samisha. Shilpa revealed that during her own childhood, she could only spend time with her parents on weekends due to their work commitments.
Understanding the feeling of being separated from her parents, she said, “My mother has been a very strong influence in my life. And I was telling somebody that we understood that our parents were working. And we barely saw them. We only saw them on weekends because that was the only time that we got with them. Unke pass choice nahi thi. Hum to bohot saara time spend karte hain apne bachchon ke saath (They didn’t have a choice. We spend a lot of time with our children).”
