Varun Dhawan and Katrina Kaif share a cordial off-screen camaraderie with their playful banter on the popular chat show Koffee With Karan, capturing the attention of their admirers. Despite the ‘Tiger 3’ star being his senior in the industry, the two maintain a warm and cordial bond marked by mutual respect and a dash of humour. In one memorable instance on Koffee With Karan, Dhawan jokingly accused Katrina of stealing his sunglasses, a claim that sparked laughter and light-hearted exchanges between the two stars and the show’s host, Karan Johar.
The ‘Student of the Year’ director was quick to chime in, humorously highlighting Katrina Kaif’s habit of ‘borrowing,’ or perhaps quietly taking things from others.
Varun Dhawan accused Katrina Kaif of ‘taking’ his glares
Katrina Kaif graced an episode of the sixth season of Koffee With Karan alongside Varun Dhawan. During the episode, the actress received messages from her co-stars and friends, who revealed that she habitually took their things if she developed a liking for them. Varun had something similar to share about her habit, which was agreeing with her friends.

He said, “Kat, you’re a thief”, and went on to elucidate an instance when he went to Abu Dhabi for a couple of days, and Katrina Kaif ended up ‘taking’ his sunglasses after seeing them on Varun’s face, saying, “These are mine.” In response, Karan Johar stated that Katrina wasn’t a thief and that she asked and took the things she liked.
Katrina’s habit of ‘shopping off people’
KJo also mentioned that he had gifted several things to the ‘Dhoom 3’ actress when she confessed that she liked them. However, talking about her shopping habits, the director of ‘My Name Is Khan’ shared, “Katrina shops in a very unusual way. She doesn’t shop from stores; she shops off people.” He even added that she was “a walking, talking kleptomaniac.”

Johar didn’t stop there, for he further said, “Everyone who invites Katrina home, make sure that your closets are locked.” Surprisingly and rather delightfully, Kaif didn’t deny the accusations and, in fact, promptly responded, saying there was nothing wrong with it.
