Shah Rukh Khan

Everyone, at some point, has been completely smitten by the wit and charm of Shah Rukh Khan. They call him the King of Bollywood for a reason, and it lies in the way he’s managed to win over millions of hearts in the three decades he’s been in the movies. You may fall in love with his characters, but it’s his real-life persona that has the world bowing down to him.

One such memorable moment that proved he’s no ordinary actor occurred during an interview, when a journalist asked a sensitive question about religion and the love SRK receives from his audiences. Framing it, the journalist said, “What if you were Shekhar Krishnan, SK?”

SRK, ever quick on his feet, interrupted before the question could even finish and said with a smile, “Shekhar Radha Krishnan—SRK,” prompting laughter and admiration from the room.

Here’s what SRK said

The journalist went on to ask whether Shah Rukh felt his religion impacted the love he received. To that, Shah Rukh Khan responded thoughtfully, “I’ve never been made aware, through my profession or otherwise, of my religion. This is a wonderful country, and I find it strange when I hear this. I don’t think Aamir has been made to feel any different, or Salman has been treated differently. I think artists have the tendency to transcend.”

Now that is a masterclass in grace, intelligence, and pure star power.
