Newly-wed Sonnalli Seyggal and Ashesh Sajnani hosted a grand wedding reception for friends and loved ones here on Thursday night.
Several celebrities from the world of cinema, television and OTT, notably film director Luv Ranjan and comedienne Sumona Chakraborty to Rajkummar Rao, Patralekhaa, Nushrat Bharuka, Sunny Singh, Omkar Kapoor, Varun Sharna, Aditya Seal, Anushka Ranjan, Vardhan Puri, and Raai Laxmi, attended the reception.
Sonnalli looked regal in a shimmery silver lehenga; Ashesh opted for a black and white ensemble. The duo are literally glowing in the pictures.
The duo exchanged their vows at a gurdwara in Santa Cruz West in Mumbai on Wednesday. For the special day, Sonnalli wore a pastel pink saree. She accentuated her bridal look with a pink chooda, silver kaleeras and silver-diamond jewellery. Ashesh appeared in an off-white sherwani. He paired his outfit with a pink turban.
Sonnalli rose to fame in 2011 with Luv Ranjan’s ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’. After appearing in ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’, she was featured in films such as ‘High Jack’, ‘Ishq Da Rog’ and ‘Jai Mummy Di’. Before entering the film industry, she was a ramp model and had also participated in the Miss India World competition.
About Sonnalli’s wedding
For the wedding, Sonnalli wore a pink and white saree, matching veil and jewellery. On the other hand, Ashesh opted for a white sherwani, trousers and jutti. He also opted for a pink turban.
In the first photo, Sonnalli Seygall could be seen holding her dupatta while Ashesh looked at her as they both smiled. In the picture, they sat on the floor with their friends and family members behind them. The next photo shows Sonnalli and Ashesh taking part in wedding rituals as the guests looked at them.
In the last picture, it was a close-up shot of their folded hands. Sharing the picture, they captioned the post, “Sabr & Shukr (Patience and thanks) (folded hands emoji).” It also had, “Patience is good” written in Punjabi.
Many celebrities attended their wedding including Kartik Aaryan, Luv Ranjan, Sunny Singh, Mandira Bedi, Shama Sikander, Sahil Salathia, Ridhima Pandit, and Chahatt Khanna among others.
Talking about their hush hush wedding, Sonnalli Seygall said, “Ashesh and I were very sure about having a very simple wedding with people who mean something to us. It’s a very private moment for us. It is what both our mothers wanted and we feel glad that we could do it for them. We really look forward to exploring this new phase of our life together.” The 34-year-old had an Anand Karaj with longtime beau Ashesh L Sajnani in Mumbai. They are all set to have a lavish reception on June 8.
