Veteran actor Ranjeet is best known for playing negative characters. He is both one of the most loved and hated Bollywood villains of all time. His negative roles had created a perception of him in the minds of the audience. However, in his real life, he describes himself as a “shy person” despite his screen image. Although he had a womanizer image on screen, in real life he was linked to just one actress, who he never married.
During a recent interview he addressed the dating rumours with the famous veteran actress who later got married into one of the most influential Bollywood families.
Ranjeet addresses dating rumours with Babita
In a recent interview with Vickey Lalwani, the actor was asked about this one actress who loved him. To this he replied, joking saying a lot of people loved him.
He was then specifically asked about Babita, to which he replied saying they were good friends. He further shared how he was friends with her husband Randheer Kapoor and in-laws including brother-in-law Rishi Kapoor and that they would meet quite often.
He was also asked if he every liked anyone from the industry. After a moment of brief thought he replied saying he had his other girlfriends outside the industry who were much more good-looking. He also revealed that he was a little emotional back in the day and hence didn’t not believe in dating multiple women at the same time.
Ranjeet and Babita dating rumours
Rumors of an alleged affair between actress Babita and actor Ranjeet were ride during the 1980s. The reports suggest that Babita’s relationship with Ranjeet was well-known within the Bollywood community.
However, later Babita married actor Randhir Kapoor in 1971, and gave birth to two daughters, Karisma and Kareena Kapoor. Their marital life hot rock bottom, leading to a separation in 1987, however, they never legally divorced. Some reports claim that Babita’s alleged affair led to their separation, while Randhir attributed their marital issues to his own lifestyle choices, like excessive drinking and late nights.
On the other hand, Ranjeet married Aloka Bedi (née Nazneen) on April 30, 1986, with whom he had two children. The actor has always maintained a private personal life.
Notably, there is no concrete evidence of romance between the two. Neither have they publicly addressed these rumors.
