Suriya 44, the interesting collaboration between superstar Suriya and filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj has been the talk of the town for a while now. The two artists will be collaborating on the special project which is tentatively titled Suriya 44’
The makers of the film recently revealed the technical crew, who will be working behind the curtains. The film will be co-produced by Suriya’s home banner 2D Entertainment and Karthik Subbaraj’s Stone Bench Films. Notably, it is being directed by Karthik Subbaraj and marks his 44th movie, hence the tentative name ‘Suriya 44.’
Suriya 44 crew unveiled
Recently, the makers revealed the technical crew members of the upcoming movie. Earlier it was already announced that Santhosh Narayanan would be scoring the music for Suriya 44. Now the makers announced that the cameraman will be Shreyaas Krishna.
Similarly, the crew will include Shafique Mohamed Ali will be responsible for the edits, while Jacki will be the art director. The action for Suriya 44 will be directed by Kecha Khamhpakdee and the costumes will be designed by Praveen Raja.
Pooja Hegde to feature in Suriya 44?
Notably, the upcoming film marks the first time the national award-winning actor, Suriya, will be collaborating with Karthik Subbaraj. The director’s last project was 2023’s critically and commercially acclaimed film Jigarthanda DoubleX. Backed by 2D Entertainment and Stone Bench Films, Suriya 44 is yet to receive a release date.
Although the makers recently revealed the technical crew, they have managed to stay tight-lipped on what the cast of the game would like. Thus it is not yet confirmed who else will be seen in Suriya and Karthik’s collaboration project.
However, if rumours are to be believed, actress Pooja Hegde will be joining the cast of the film and will be seen playing the female lead opposite Suriya. If the rumours are true, it will also be the first time Pooja Hedge will be working with Suriya and Karthik Subbaraj.
Apart from Pooja Hegde, it is also rumoured that Vijay Kumar will be seen as the antagonist in the upcoming film. Jayaram and Joju George are also believed to be featured in the film.
