Maa marks the return of Kajol on the big screen. The actress has completed 33 years in the industry. She’s one of the most complete actors we have who can dabble with any genre. She now forays into the world of horror-thriller. The film is directed by Vishal Furia who also directed Chhorii and Chhorii 2. It’s all set to release in Cinemas on June 27. With the success of Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par, Maa is likely to face tough competition at the ticket windows. But going by the positive response that the trailer has received, it seems it is going to surprise everyone with its collections on day one. The last time we saw Kajol on the big screen was in Salaam Venky in 2022.
Kjaol’s Maa is trending really well so far and Bollywood could witness two back to back hits after a long time.

Kajol’s horror-thriller is expected to earn Rs 6 crore on its opening day. We will have to wait to see how much it actually collects. It could be less and it could be even more.
Kajol on experiencing the paranormal
In an interview, the actress said, “I have experienced this multiple times. Call it negative energy or vibes, but sometimes, when you go to a place, you feel like something isn’t right.”
She added, “I’ve shot at places where I couldn’t sleep all night, where I felt it would be good if I could just leave this place.”
Kajol continued, “There are quite a few places like that. A prime example is Ramoji Rao Studios in Hyderabad, which is considered one of the most haunted places in the world. I am lucky enough not to have seen anything (ghosts), though.”
