Jaat is all set to release in cinemas on April 10. It’s a film that stars Sunny Deol, Randeep Hooda, Vineet Kumar Singh, and Saiyami Kher. For all of those who have seen the trailer, it’s an action-packed entertainer that shows yet another battle between the good and the evil. Deol is obviously the good guy and Hooda is obviously the bad guy. We also have Singh, fresh off the success of Chhaava and the acclaim for Superboys of Malegaon. This is Deol’s first release post the blockbuster success of Gadar 2. So what can we expect at the box-office?
With Jaat, Sunny Deol may have taken home his biggest paycheck in 42 years. Thanks to Gadar 2, he is now one of the highest-paid actors in Bollywood again, just like he was in the 90s.
Jaat: Sunny Deol’s fees
Sunny Deol has reportedly charged Rs 50 crore to come on board for this mass film. Even during the time of Gadar, he charged Rs 6 crore which was the highest for any actor at that time.
Randeep Hooda has been paid between Rs 5-7 crore, Vineet Kumar Singh between Rs 1-2 crore. Regina Cassandra reportedly charged Rs 80 to 90 lakhs. And Saiyami Kher, who portrays the role of SI Vijaya Lakshmi, reportedly charged Rs 1 crore.
Randeep Hooda on working with Sunny Deol in Jaat
The actor said in a statement, “I have always been a huge fan of Sunny Deol. Growing up, we admired his powerful screen presence, his intensity, and his physique.”
Hooda added, “I still remember us having his posters in our school hostel cupboards, looking at them and getting inspired to lift weights and doing push ups”.
What Vineet Kumar Singh said about the film
The Mukkabaaz fame said, “I usually look at four cards while choosing a film — director, producer, my role, and money. But for this role, I kept all my cards aside because I got Sunny Deol.”
He added, “The kind of experiences I am having now, I never had before. You can understand how much change has come. There were many films earlier where I hoped things would work out, but it didn’t happen that way. However, Chhaava worked its magic, and this year, what I am receiving is truly beyond my expectations.”
