Vicky Kaushal is one of Bollywood’s most versatile and bankable actors. He is known for his ability to effortlessly transition between intense dramas, action-packed roles, and light-hearted romances. Ever since Chaavaa hit theatres and turned out to be a bona fide blockbuster, Vicky has been flooded with a wave of exciting new offers. Now, the internet is abuzz with speculation about his possible entry into the much-hyped YRF Spy Universe.
As per the latest report, Vicky Kaushal is not joining the spy universe. The production banner has a plan to expand the spy verse with the inclusion of new actors playing different characters, but nothing is concrete with Vicky Kaushal as of now.
Yash Raj Films is going full throttle with War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan, Kiara Advani, and Jr NTR. Slated for release on August 14, the action-packed sequel is timed to cash in on the Independence Day weekend and will face stiff competition from Lokesh Kanagaraj and Rajinikanth’s much-anticipated Coolie. With the teaser already receiving a positive response, the makers are now gearing up to kickstart the film’s promotional blitz.
Meanwhile, the next instalment in the YRF Spy Universe is Alpha, headlined by Alia Bhatt and Sharvari. Directed by The Railway Men’s Shiv Rawail, Alpha is set for a Christmas 2025 release and marks a milestone as the franchise’s first female-led spy thriller. According to reports, Bobby Deol will play a pivotal role, adding further weight to the already high-profile project.
As for Vicky Kaushal, the actor is currently immersed in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, where he stars alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. He also has Mahavatar in the pipeline, in which he will portray the mythological figure of Lord Parashuram.
If executed well, the film has the potential to replicate or even surpass the success of Chhaava, Vicky’s latest blockbuster that has reignited interest in his larger-than-life avatars.
