Ever since Bipasha Basu split with John Abraham last year, she has been linked with a string of men such as Rana Daggubatti, Shahid Kapoor and Hollywood star Josh Hartnett who is her co-star in her first English film ‘Singularity’. During the shoot of ‘Singularity’ in India last year, there was a strong buzz that she shared great chemistry with Josh but Bips always denied it.
However, now it seems she has reconnected with Josh during her recent shoot in London for the film. A tabloid reports that when Bips and Josh met each other after almost a year, they realised that time and distance hadn’t dulled their chemistry. They would apparently go for dinner and coffee once shooting was over. However, this is not the beginning of a new romance for Bipasha as she knows that long-distance relationships don’t work.
BIpasha herself admitted in an interview, “We started out as accommodating co-stars, but with time Josh and I have become close. We discovered a strong connection the first time around and would hang out often. Josh was a wonderful friend. We have great chemistry in the film. In fact, we sizzle on-screen!”
But the candid actress admits that a relationship is not possible. “We live in different continents, and that’s a big hurdle when it comes to maintaining friendships. We are extremely fond of each other though, so we instantly reconnected when we met again in London. It’s a rare friendship and I know it’s forever. We hung out as much as we could in London, and it was fun. Both of us love to eat, so we’d go out often and party hard!”
‘Singularity’ is Bipasha’s first Hollywood film and is directed by Roland Joffe. She plays the role of a warrior called Tulaja Naik, who is a bodyguard for the Maratha queen. The only time Tulaja falters is when she falls in love with Josh’s character, a British army officer.
