Farhan Akhtar Speaks About His Biggest Fear and a Shocking Near Death Experience!

The actor reveals his secrets on Neha Dhupia’s show

Farhan Akhtar is not one to hold back and his interesting interviews and appearances are proof of it. Most recently, he was on Neha Dhupia’s show, #NoFilterNeha, where he, along with the host, engaged in some interesting conversation, revealing some never-heard-before details!

The show began with some light hearted conversation where Farhan fondly spoke about his experience on board shooting for Dil Dhadakne Do. Along with all the other fun details of the blast they had on set (as if we didn’t know!), Farhan went on to mock co-star Ranveer Singh who apparently carried 11 suitcases to the ship!

Following all the giggles, on a more serious note, the actor went on to describe a near death experience saying, “I was doing a solo jump, and I had to go last. Everyone in the team jumped before me, so when it was my turn to jump, I realised I was really far from the runway. I want sure if I was going to be able to make it back, and there was every chance that I would land on a road in the way of a truck. To avoid that, I cut right really hard, resulting in high speed and me eventually landing without any flair of the chute, hurting myself pretty badly.”

Fearless Farhan, as he is popularly known, also revealed the one thing he’s scared of saying,” Flying cockroaches repulse me. When I was a kid, we had travelled to the North for a school tour. While we were heading back, we had to change changes trains, and had 5-6 hours to kill before the next one arrived, so we decided to watch a film at a local theatre. The theatre was small and dingy. It had benches and the film use to be played on the TV through a VHS player, with a magnifying screen put in front of the TV. The, at the interval the lights suddenly came on and halfway down the wall were flying cockroaches, and that’s what we had been sitting all the while! Ever since that day I cannot stand a cockroach near me! I have jumped out of moving cars when roaches have flown in ever since then.” Haha! Who would have thought, right?

Farhan will next be seen in Lucknow Central, and we can’t wait for the film to release this weekend!
