The day preceding her daughter Nysa’s 21st birthday, actress Kajol took to social media on Friday to reflect on her journey through motherhood, expressing gratitude and admiration for her child’s love and unwavering support. Married to superstar Ajay Devgn since February 1999, Kajol and Ajay are parents to two children — daughter Nysa and son Yug.
Sharing an unseen throwback image featuring a young Nysa clad in a green frock seated on her mother’s lap, Kajol penned a heartfelt message. She reminisced, “Tomorrow marks Nysa’s 21st birthday, but today is about me and the transformative journey of becoming a mom. How she fulfilled my greatest wish and continues to bring joy into my life every single day, simply by being herself.”
Expressing her deep appreciation, Kajol continued, “She fills me with gratitude and amazement with her love and unwavering support. I may make mistakes, but I’ll never be in the wrong in her eyes. She fills my days with laughter, and I take immense pride in sharing her achievements and anecdotes. Each time she calls me ‘mama,’ it feels like a rallying cry for a cherished cause.”
Reflecting further, Kajol mused, “Sometimes, I wish I could wrap her up and return her to my womb for a day, just to feel my heart beat in the body from which it originated. ‘Love’ is too ordinary a word to encapsulate the depth of emotions one feels for their children. It’s so much more. So today is about me. I take a moment to acknowledge this journey with humility.”
Meanwhile, in her professional endeavors, Kajol recently portrayed Devyani in ‘Lust Stories 2’ and Noyonika Sengupta in the web series ‘The Trial.’ Her upcoming projects include ‘Sarzameen,’ ‘Do Patti,’ and ‘Maa.’
