Rajesh Khanna‘s live-in partner sent a legal notice to his family post the actor’s demise in July 2012. A source was quoted saying back then, “For the last one month, the family has been trying to oust Advani from the house, where she claims she has been living with Khanna for the last eight years. This is why she sent the notice.”
The source added, “During the procession that started from the actor’s home, Advani attempted to climb into the vehicle carrying Kaka’s body. However, Akshay [Kumar] spotted Advani and asked her to get off, as the vehicle was only for family members.”

Anita had this to say about the Anand actor, “He had started pushing me away. There were days where he didn’t even want to speak to his own family. They began isolating me, and I had begun to feel lost.”
She added, “I sent that notice when I was annoyed… without him, I had nowhere else to go. But I never thought I would actually lose him. The timing was really bad.”

Talking to Mid-day, Kaka said, “Anita and I have been known to each other for 32 years. She was in school then. We are just friends. She is a lovely person. I am very fond of her. But we haven’t reached the stage of love.” Anita at that time said: “It’s a very special, sacred relationship.”
