Aryan Khan has finally broken his silence on his upcoming directorial debut. Reports have surfaced that Shah Rukh Khan’s son is set to embark on his filmmaking journey with a series titled “Stardom,” slated to release on an online streaming platform. The series is expected to consist of six episodes, promising an intriguing narrative to viewers.
In a recent interview with GQ India, Aryan Khan didn’t divulge many details about the series but shared insights into his transition from being a fashion creative and entrepreneur to stepping into the director’s role. He expressed that both roles are creatively stimulating but differ in their demands. As a creative director for the luxury lifestyle collective SLAB and the fashion line D’yavol X, Aryan Khan oversees creative aspects but isn’t as involved in logistics compared to directing. He highlighted the meticulous attention to detail required as a director, where he has to oversee every aspect of production, from shots to angles.
Aryan Khan said, “They’re both creatively stimulating in different ways. As the creative director of the brand, I shoot the ads, as well as oversee the photoshoots. I’m very involved creatively, but not as much when it comes to the logistics. On the other hand, as a director I have to look into every detail, every shot and every angle.”
Despite keeping details about “Stardom” under wraps, reports have hinted at intriguing aspects of the series. Notably, Bollywood Hungama reported that Mona Singh will play a pivotal role, with cameo appearances from industry stalwarts like Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Karan Johar, and Bobby Deol. Lakshya Lalwani is rumored to play the lead role, with Gautami Kapoor also joining the cast.
The series is said to delve into the challenges and intricacies of the Indian film industry’s behind-the-scenes world.
