Bollywood’s ‘Chote Nawab’ Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor are a couple everyone looks up to for their undeniable style and chemistry. The actors, who reportedly got close during the shooting of Yash Raj Films’ Tashan, tied the knot in 2012. They share two kids, Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan (also known as Jeh). While Bebo broke off her romance with Shahid Kapoor amid her burgeoning chemistry with the Salaam Namaste star, there was one actor who was quite apprehensive of Saif getting romantically involved with Kareena.
It was none other than the ultimate ‘Khiladi of Bollywood,’ Akshay Kumar, who cautioned Khan about his growing closeness to Kareena while the trio was busy shooting for their 2008 release Tashan.
Kareena Kapoor on Akshay Kumar’s cautionary advice to Saif
Kareena Kapoor was engaged in a conversation with Akshay Kumar’s wife and former actor Twinkle Khanna when she revealed the Kesari Chapter 2 star had warned Saif Ali Khan about going out with her. In her January 22 interaction with Twinkle for Tweak India, Bebo shared:
‘Saif and Akshay were talking and Akshay kind of got that vibe that Saif and me were, like, connecting. Akshay took Saif into the corner and he was like, listen, tread carefully. Because they are dangerous girls and this is a dangerous family and I know them. So watch out.’
The Jab We Met actress continued, ‘He was like, don’t kind of mess with her, was his vibe to him – that he was trying to say that, you know, you are barking up the wrong tree. Saif was like, no, no, I know that, you know, I’ve figured her out.’

Kareena Kapoor also spilt the beans on the sudden spark in her chemistry with Saif Ali Khan. She shared that she believed their relationship was brought together by some form of karmic connection. Interestingly, the Udta Punjab star even revealed that she had been offered a couple of films with her future husband but the projects had somehow not materialised at the time.Â
The two finally joined forces for the 2008 film Tashan and the rest, as they say, is history. Even though the action entertainer turned out to be a box office disaster, Saif and Kareena’s undeniable chemistry in it certainly did emerge triumphant, transforming them into a real-life couple. The sizzling pair came together for 2009’s Kurbaan, but couldn’t turn this film into a success either despite its amazing soundtrack.
