Bollywood actors who have been through a major makeover for their characters are truly respectable because of the hard work. Some of them have sat for hours on the go in the same chair, just to get their make-up right. Just like Deepika Padukone in Chhapaak, here are five actors who have recently gone through extreme make-up to play the character.

1. Akshay Kumar in 2.0

Akshay went through extreme make-up to look like the Bird man in the film 2.0. He had even put up a video about the hours of make-up one has to go through to achieve the look. His make-up man got several awards for giving Akshay the look of a Bird Man.

2. Amitabh Bachchan in Paa

Amitabh Bachchan went through hours of prosthetic make-up to achieve the look of Paa.

3. Hrithik Roshan in Dhoom 2

Hrithik Roshan played the role of a queen in the film which was one of his many disguises in the film. That was an extreme transformation.

4. Rishi Kapoor in Kapoor and Sons

Rishi Kapoor had to play a bed-ridden old man and he had gone through hours of extreme prosthetic make-up to achieve the look.

5. Rajkummar Rao in Raabta

Rajkummar played a 320-year-old man in the film who had seen through all the janams and "punarjanams". This required him to go through extreme make-up transformations. 

6. Kamal Haasan in Indian 2

Kamal Haasan had to do so much makeup for the film that it was reportedly said that he even got allergic to the makeup!

7. Anushka Sharma in Pari

Anushka Sharma plays a disturbed spirit who is visibly scarred and extremely scary to look at. Makeup artist Clover Wootton worked hours on end to achieve this look!
