Ranveer Singh has clearly emerged as the star of 2018 in Bollywood with projects like Simmba and Padmaavat. A few years ago, there were rumours that the actor entered the industry after his father paid a huge sum of money to the producer, Aditya Chopra. However, Ranveer denies this till date saying, “I am what I am because of my own hard work and struggle, it has always been a dream to be a part of show business and I worked towards it to make it happen!

"I am a born entertainer. I pursued my Bachelor of Arts degree in the US. During my stay there, I waited tables at Starbucks. After returning, I worked as a copywriter with agencies like O&M and JWT. Soon, I started assisting in movies, gave all kinds of auditions and finally through Shanoo Sharma (the casting director at YRF) landed the part in Band Baaja Baaraat." - Ranveer Singh


She became a beauty pageant winner and from there she did what she could with passion and love. Today, she is not just ruling Bollywood but even Hollywood too.

She even landed in Hollywood in the movie, XXX: Return of Xander Cage opposite Vin Diesel.

"I had already played badminton at a national level but I was still trying to figure out what I wanted to do in life. A family friend suggested modelling to my parents. I landed in Bombay and got some assignments. The Liril and Closeup commercials got me a lot of attention and that's how I landed Himesh's music video. That's where Farah noticed me and cast me for Om Shanti Om." - Deepika Padukone


Kangana Ranaut earned her place in Bollywood with films like Gangster, Tanu Weds Manu, Queen among others. She is a recipient of 3 national awards for her work in Bollywood.

"I left home at 16 because of my choice of career. I came to Delhi where I enrolled in the Elite Modelling Agency. After some time, the agency sent me to Mumbai for an ad audition but I never came back. In Mumbai, an agent took me to Bhatts' office where I was rejected for Gangster because I looked too young. Sushant started off his career as a junior artiste in films like Dhoom 2. He gave auditions for several years and landed on television after which he started a career in Bollywood and has acclaimed films like, M.S Dhoni: The Untold Story, Kai Po Che in his kitty.

"After an initial phase of struggle, I got noticed once I landed the lead role in Ekta Kapoor's daily soap Pavitra Rishta. But I wanted to do films so I quit the show and was jobless for many months and like a true struggler worked at various coffee shops. And then, Kai Po Che happened and my life changed." - Sushant Singh Rajput


Shahid has been through his share of ups and downs in the industry. Although now Shahid Kapoor has managed to become a renowned Bollywood star with a huge fan base.

"I was with Shiamak Dawar’s Dance Troupe for 3-4 years. I was also a background dancer in several Bollywood movies. But I always wanted to become an actor on my own, so I started doing acting workshops. I went to audition for Ken Ghosh's film Ishq Vishq, where I got rejected because of my thin frame. As luck would have it, his film also got stuck. In that one year, I worked hard on my body so when the film finally took off, Ken offered the role to me."

Varun is the son of producer David Dhawan and was launched in Bollywood with Karan Johar's Student Of The Year as well. He has definitely proved his acting capabilities with films like October, Badlapur and is a huge star with a huge female fan following.


She has always been in the limelight as she is the daughter of a legendary actress, the late Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor, she was offered the film Dhadak opposite Ishaan Khatter. The film did decently well but the actress has already managed to get herself a good position in the industry.


Sara Ali Khan is the daughter of actors, Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh. She had a remarkable number of followers on her social media even before her films released. She managed to bag films like Simmba opposite Ranveer Singh and Kedarnath opposite Sushant Singh Rajput.


Suhana is the daughter of actor Shah Rukh Khan who is currently studying in the United States but has managed to be on the cover of Vogue magazine! This was not taken lightly by most people as social media trolled her and Shah Rukh Khan for the same.
