Bigg Boss Season 13: Highlights of Day 26 – Weekend Ka Vaar
Salman Khan takes on Siddharth Dey, Shefali Bagga and Paras Chhabra on Weekend Ka Vaar for their antics in the house this past week
Since the start of Bigg Boss 13, the house has been a center for fights, arguments and bickering from the first day. However, in previous seasons, the equations in the house have always been ever-changing with friendships breaking up, housemates turning against each other and teams switching around on a weekly basis. This is one thing that is lacking in Bigg Boss 13. The groups have been cemented and with these groups, even the tasks do not allow room for growth and understanding. Therefore, viewers are saddled with watching repetitive fights and outbursts day in and day out. With weekend ka vaar, viewers expected all the contestants to receive a solid verbal lashing, especially those in Sidharth Shukla’s team, based on their acts of aggression and violence this week. However, this is not exactly how the episode played out.
As the episode begins, Salman Khan tells the housemates that the TRPs of the show are higher than ever and they have made the channel so happy. Salman Khan tells the contestants that he’s so proud of them, as are all of their families, the viewers and those who have worked with them in the past. His words dripping with sarcasm, the contestants are quiet. Salman then tells the contestants that with the finale approaching, half the contestants in the house will be replaced anyway and he hopes the wildcards will be better players than this lot.
Starting with Sidharth Shukla, Salman tells him that his aggression has gotten the better of him and if he would stop reacting, he could be a good player. He tells him that if Rashami Desai and Mahira Sharma attack him, he should learn to control his anger and move away from them, as his dignity is in his own hands. Moving on to Shehnaaz Gill, Salman scolds her for her use of curse words and bad behavior, but as always, Shehnaaz plays innocent and manages to wiggle out of his anger.
Salman’s anger turns to Paras Chhabra, who he calls out for insulting Salman on national television. Paras refuses to admit that he said anything, but Salman quotes him directly and expresses his irritation with him. He also makes it clear that he supports Asim Riaz, praising Asim and stating that Paras behaved incorrectly. However, he does tell Asim that his statements towards Paras were wrong and also scolds him (lightly) for breaking Bigg Boss property. Salman’s anger is then directed at Shefali Bagga for her comments on Shehnaaz. While Shefali tries to explain her reasons, Salman tells her that she was wrong. Salman blasts Siddharth Dey for his behavior in the task with Shehnaaz. While Siddharth tries to explain that Shehnaaz got physical with him first, Salman tells him that he pushed Shehnaaz first. Salman loses his temper with Siddharth and tells him that he didn’t even want to come to the show today, he was so angry. He also tells Devoleena Bhattacharjee and Mahira Sharma off for making bad statements and then later denying making those statements.
After Salman leaves, Devoleena and Mahira are seen discussing Salman’s words saying Shehnaaz was “entertaining” by harassing Siddharth Dey. Shefali and Shehnaaz make up and hug. Sana Khan and Urvashi Rautela enter the house to play a task with the housemates. Both teams are to paint diyas and then make a sweet dish. While Sana’s team decides to make Rava Ka Halwa, while Urvashi’s team makes khoya ki mitai. Sana’s team wins and Urvashi declares that her team would not work well together. Sana and Urvashi advise the housemates to stop playing the woman card, as the contestants are equals and should play for the game.
Three wildcards are introduced – Hindustani Bhau, a YouTube star, is the first. Tehseen Poonawalla is the next contestant and it’s clear that he is ready to dethrone Sidharth Shukla as the leader of the house.
Salman goes back into the house on the Tv and tells the contestants about the new entrants. Shehnaaz is called for the shower task, but this time, it’s a giant hand slapping instead. Shehnaaz is slapped three times before Siddharth Dey is called. He is slapped three out of four times, with the house agreeing that Shehnaaz does “idhar ki baat udhar.”
Salman ends the episode by telling the contestants that there will not be an eviction this week due to Diwali. With the new contestants ready for entry and the finale fast approaching, it will be interesting to see how the house will be flipped upside down in the coming weeks.
