Bigg Boss 13: Rashmi Desai Unhappy With Her Bed Partner

Bigg Boss 13: Rashmi Desai Unhappy With Her Bed Partner

With Bigg Boss 13 in full swing, contestants now have to deal with a new challenge – male and female contestants sharing beds

With the Bigg Boss 13 premire taking place on September 29, fights and misunderstandings are already emerging, some on the premiere night itself.  While model Asim Riaz took offense to a comment made by actor Paras Chhabra, singer Shehnaz Gill and news anchor Shefali Bagga got off on the wrong foot.  On the premiere, Salman Khan had the contestants perform tasks, as well as (anonymously) select their bed partners for the season.  The first bed partners to be revealed were Rashmi Desai and Siddharth Shukla.  Having worked together playing a married couple in Dil Se Dil Tak on Colors in 2017-2018, it initially seemed as though Rashmi and Siddharth shared a good friendship with Rashmi even choosing Siddharth to work with her in the kitchen.

However, later when it was revealed that Rashmi and Siddharth would be sharing a bed, neither seemed too happy with the decision.  Rashmi discusses switching beds with Siddharth, but he convinces her that they cannot break the rules.  Later, Bigg Boss makes it clear that switching beds is not allowed at this point in the game.

Siddharth Shukla’s career took off when he played Shiv in Balika Vadhu on Colors.  His co-star, Pratyusha Bannerjee (who passed away in 2016), had earlier taken part in Bigg Boss season 7.  Siddharth went on to get noticed by Bollywood and played a role in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya before participating in reality shows like Jhalak Dikhla Jaa and Fear Factor.  He was last seen in Dil Se Dil Tak opposite Rashmi Desai and is currently participating in Bigg Boss season 13.

Rashmi Desai hit popularity with her role as the trouble-making Tapasya in Uttaran on Colors.  Like Siddharth, she has also participated in reality shows like Nach Baliye, Fear Factor and Jhalak Dikhla Jaa. After Dil Se Dil Tak, she was most recently seen in Naagin 3 on Colors.

During the time Dil Se Dil Tak was on air, rumors constantly floated around regarding Rashmi and Siddharth’s relationship.  Rumors were rife of the two not getting along on the sets of the show, while others reported that the two were in a relationship.  Judging by the awkwardness between the two in the house and their reserved behavior towards each other, this is a confusing friendship.

Ironically, there have also been link-up rumors between Siddharth and Arti Singh, another Bigg Boss 13 contestant, who also happens to be Krushna Abhishek’s sister and Govinda’s niece.  There has been chatter about the two dating for the past few months leading up to the premiere of Bigg Boss.  Whether this relationship is real or simply another Bigg Boss promotional strategy, with Siddharth linked to both Rashmi and Arti, it seems the first “love” triangle of the show has been put into place before the show even takes off.

This season promises to be interesting as Bigg Boss 13 does not feature commoners this year, only celebrities.  Ameesha Patel is the “Maalkin” of the house and it seems she will force contestants to participate in tasks to earn certain things, such as their grocery ration for the week.  In addition to this, the show is described as being “fast paced,” with two finales within the season – the first of which will be after four weeks of the start date.  While the details of this format have yet to unfold clearly for both the contestants and viewers, Bigg Boss 13 promises to be as interesting as past seasons.  Stay tuned for more on Bigg Boss 13!
